With winter conditions, snow, ice, and limited daylight, most of my long runs leading into the Rocky 50 Ultramarathon have been done on a treadmill. In this episode, I break down why treadmill training isn’t a setback — and in many ways, it’s been a mental and physical advantage. This run was a 3+ hour long treadmill session, focused on stacking miles, dialing in fueling, and building discipline late in my training block. No pace chasing. No scenery. Just showing up and doing the work.
