This is the far southwest at its most elemental: sea-carved cliffs, turquoise shallows, and a path that clings to the very edge of England. The morning light spills over the rocks, the wind hums through the gorse, and every step feels like a slow reveal of another wild masterpiece. 🕰️ Highlights, History & Local Lore Nanjizal, sometimes called Mill Bay, is one of Cornwall’s most secluded treasures. Accessible only by foot, it rewards the effort with utter tranquility—a narrow cove framed by cliffs and sculpted by the sea into natural wonders. The star attraction is the Song of the Sea, a tall, narrow archway carved by centuries of Atlantic waves. At low tide, its turquoise pool glows like stained glass beneath the sunlight, and seabirds wheel above the cliffs as if to guard its solitude. From here, the South West Coast Path winds eastward, climbing steeply before unfurling into a series of breathtaking viewpoints.
