Location: Findlay Fire Department No. 2 System: Hancock County Test time: 1st Monday of the month at 10 AM (under normal circumstances) Enthusiasts present: Tommy (@buckeyenotifications) About a week prior to this, we got word that Findlay would be testing their brand-new T-128s on the last Wednesday of May at 10 AM, so we decided to head to the one at fire station 2 for quite possibly its very first test. Interestingly enough, despite being brand-new, this one still has the old horn design, so I'm not sure what that's about. If I had to guess, maybe ASC had some leftover horns with the old design, and they decided to use them on some new units, but I digress. Anyway, this wound up right at 10 and went for 3 minutes of alert. Since they normally do 2 full alerts followed by 1 minute of attack, we decided to wait for a few minutes after the initial alert to see if they would do anything else, and sure enough, about 2 minutes later, this wound up for another round of full alert! After that, we waited a few more minutes to see if they would do attack. Another 2 minutes later, and they did indeed do attack; however, to our surprise, it was not on the T-128s, but instead on the old 2001s. I'm guessing they somehow accidentally set off the old system instead of the new one for the attack signal, but I'm not sure. It would've been cool to hear this in attack, but at least we did get a neat 2001 attack ambiance. Enjoy!
