New tenders are out, involving routes 44, 61, 77, 261, 308, 403, 488 and N44. Six routes will keep their existing hybrid or diesel buses. Three routes will use new or existing electric buses. One route will be converted to use hybrid buses. Most day routes will have a PVR increase. Route 44 has been retained by GoAhead London General. The route will keep its Wright StreetDeck hybrids. Route 44's peak vehicle requirement will increase from 16 to 18. Route 44's contract starts on the 31st of May 2025. It ends on the 31st of May 2030. Route 44 runs from Victoria Station to Tooting Station. Via Victoria Coach Station, Chelsea Bridge, Battersea Park Station, Battersea High Street, Wandsworth Town Station, Wandsworth Town Hall, Southside Shopping Centre, Earlsfield Station, Summerstown, And Tooting Broadway Station. Route 61 has been retained by Stagecoach Selkent. New electric double deckers have been ordered for this route. These will replace the diesel ADL Enviro400s currently being used. Route 61's peak vehicle requirement will increase from 9 to 10. Route 61's contract starts on the 29th of November 2025. It ends on the 26th of November 2032. Route 61 runs from Chislehurst to Bromley North Station. Via Chislehurst War Memorial, St Pauls Cray Hill, Orpington Town Centre, Orpington Station, Bromley Common, And Bromley South Station. Route 77 has been retained by GoAhead London General. The route will keep its ADL Enviro400 MMC hybrids. Route 77's peak vehicle requirement will remain at 18. Route 77's contract starts on the 31st of May 2025. It ends on the 31st of May 2030. Route 77 runs from Waterloo Station to Tooting Station. Via St Thomas' Hospital, Lambeth Palace, Vauxhall Bus Station, Nine Elms Station, Wandsworth Road Station, Lavender Hill, Clapham Junction Station, Wandsworth Common, Earlsfield Station, Summerstown, And Tooting Broadway Station. Route 261 has been retained by Stagecoach Selkent. New electric double deckers have been ordered for this route. These will replace the Enviro400 MMC Smart Hybrids currently being used. Route 261's peak vehicle requirement will increase from 13 to 14. Route 261's contract starts on the 29th of November 2025. It ends on the 26th of November 2032. Route 261 runs from Lewisham Station to Locksbottom, Princess Royal Hospital. Via Lewisham Town Centre, Lee Green, Lee Station, Grove Park Station, Bromley Town Centre, Bromley South Station, And Bromley Common. Route 308 has been retained by Stagecoach Lea Interchange. The route will keep its MCV EvoSeti hybrids. Route 308's peak vehicle requirement will increase from 13 to 14. Route 308's contract starts on the 8th of March 2025. It ends on the 10th of March 2028. Route 308 runs from Wanstead to Clapton Pond. Via Wanstead Station, Wanstead Park Station, Forest Gate Station, Maryland Station, Stratford Bus Station, Stratford City Bus Station, Homerton High Street, And Homerton Hospital. Route 403 has been retained by GoAhead Metrobus. Existing hybrid double deckers will run on the route. These will replace the diesel ADL Enviro400s and Wright Gemini 2s currently being used. Route 403's peak vehicle requirement will increase from 7 to 8. Route 403's contract starts on the 25th of October 2025. It ends on the 27th of October 2028. Route 403 runs from West Croydon Bus Station to Warlingham Sainsbury's. Via Hamsey Green, Sanderstead All Saint's Church, Sanderstead Station, South Croydon, Swan & Sugar Loaf, Fairfield Halls, And Whitgift Centre. Route 488 has been retained by Stagecoach Lea Interchange. The route will keep its existing ADL Enviro200 diesels. Route 488's peak vehicle requirement will remain at 9. Route 488's contract starts on the 1st of March 2025. It ends on the 3rd of March 2028. Route 488 runs from Dalston Junction to Bromley-by-Bow Tesco.
