Union Pacific 844 Departs Ogden, Utah 2017

During the return leg of UP Steam's "Boise Turn Special", the Union Pacific 844 took to the Western side of the Overland Route in Utah to get back home to Cheyenne, Wyoming. After a day of display at Ogden Union Station, the mighty steam locomotive was brought back up to pressure to be carried over the famous Wasatch mountains towards Wyoming. In this video, soak in the sights and sounds of the morning as the locomotive is awakened at the Station. The train leaves town with a mob of cell phones, cameras, and selfie sticks documenting this momentous occasion. We then storm head on into Utah's famous Weber Canyon to capture some of the most beautiful scenes NVRRP has ever encountered. The sun hits the train and surrounding rock formations just right.
