Day 3 Haven Burnham on sea | a bit of a wash out! | Seaside squad

Day 3 - We woke to find winter and rain had returned so after warming ourselves by the fire we headed up to the complex to play in the arcade before planning to see the fairytale event in the live lounge followed by the Rory planet protector show as these were advertised on the app and we thought it would fill the morning until lunch when I was hoping the sun might find its way back to us. Eden decided to put her dolls on a ride in the arcade but it didn’t work just played the music and didn’t move and we couldn’t find any arcade staff to help at the time , we then headed upstairs to catch the show but it didn’t happen, Rory and Annie came out and met some people then Annie disappeared again and Rory went downstairs to do breakfast with the squad (wasn’t mentioned on the app!) we decided to follow and meet him for a second time and that’s when I saw the “what’s on” board and it’s a completely different schedule to what the app shows so definitely check this rather than relying on the app when making plans for your holiday especially if you have children or people who rely on routine and knowing what’s happening. We then decided to head back to the caravan as it was still wet and nothing happening for us at the complex and after yesterday I was happy for a quiet day in and a day not spending too much money as the first 2 days have been expensive although Eden was already asking for papa johns. After a couple of hours in playing she wanted to go out again and her mood was still pretty wobbly so we headed out for a walk around the site and ended up in the play park to get some swinging in. The pool and arcade was absolutely rammed as it was still raining off and on so everyone wanted to be inside obviously, although there was a group doing Segway’s in the sports area outside. The what’s on was showing peculiar potions at 1pm but Eden wasn’t keen for that (she’s really not a fan of the showbar here. She also doesn’t like the one at Weymouth bay but is fine with Perransands bar so not sure what it is about them!) So we headed back after about 20 mins to our van to do some sticker books and pass some more time. She’s really missing having a little soft play here as she used it quite a lot at Perransands when we went. The evening entertainment was a dinosaur show tonight so not if interest to eden so we headed out to grab some pizza and then headed back to the caravan to eat it and play. The complex was still massively busy when we were up there. I know that’s to be expected in the Easter holidays but we were in Weymouth this time last year and it wasn’t this busy. I think we will avoid the Easter holidays in future especially on larger sites that attract the crowds as it’s very chaotic here and just walking around the complex with the buggy is difficult with there being so many people.
