What do espionage, embroidery, and binary codes have in common? Not much. Until now! My brain works in peculiar circles, and as such, I came up with a random idea while stuck at work: what if I could embroider a latticework that hides a message using binary code? Well, I figured it would be an interesting exploration, so I went home and did it! And while I was at it, I made this lovely little video about it that ended up being much longer than I intended because not only was making this binary lattice a longer process than expected but I also went down a whole new rabbit hole of spies and the textile arts in history. Therefore, there's a bit of a history lesson from a completely unknowledgeable person in there too. Enjoy, and happy stitching!
