With the recent buzz around '652' going east, I figured it was about time to finish this one. Shot on location in Granite Falls, Minnesota way back in early December of 2024, this was the very first Brief Aerial Tour video I ever made and as such it's a bit rough. Some higher-quality pictures can be found here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/1945062... USN (DODX) 65-00652 is a "SWM9", built by a company called Integral dx. It's a very neat locomotive, the first of what will someday be a whole family of them. Dang near everything can be customized by the customer: engines, fuel tanks, air compressors, even the cab placement. Much more info can be found in the official brochure, here: https://www.integraldx.com/docs/Switc... ...and that brochure is why this video took so long to make. When I first found '625' way out west, information about it online was non-existent. I spent a week searching on and off before giving up and sending them an email. Another week or two passed before I got my reply: "Yup, that's our locomotive. Can't say much about it because contract, sorry". Not long after that, the brochure went up. Work on the video started soon after that, but I got busy with other things and it went back on the shelf.
