Chapter 11 gives us the original introduction of the kage-hiruko (assassin's tools), and this weapon is INSANE! The chapter itself is fairly straightforward, but it can be very easy to miss things. If you haven't played through this chapter yet, pay attention! Chapter 11 contained the only remaining Purgatory Gate that I had yet to access, and let me tell you, this one does not disappoint! This was easily my favorite purgatory gate. An absolute rush to take on the waves of D.D.O. soldiers they throw at you and culminating with another encounter with the D.D.O. Proto Goliath. When I say waves, I mean non-stop, nearly endless spawning enemies... not like the traditional "waves" you'd find in most of the other Gates. This one is just one, long, brutal fight. The only downside of taking on the Purgatory Gate here is that it forces you to miss a few enemy encounters in the chapter (very easy ones, but still). This means that you cannot get 100% Kills unless you skip the Gate, and I would advise not missing this one! I wound up stitching in a clip from my first MN playthrough to show those missed enemies as well as the 6th and final chest found in the chapter. I used the Kage almost exclusively here, but mostly because it's just so much fun to use. Lastly, I wanted to mention the chapter boss, the D-1018 Chariot, or as I like to call it, the Roomba. The first time I took on this boss, I was pretty disappointed with it; however, since I now had a mission to complete in defeating this boss using the duel blades and not the assassin's tools, I had a much more fun time learning it's attack patterns and dealing efficient damage whenever I found an opening. It's a tricky boss, for sure! The 2nd phase is super chaotic, and you really have to stay on your toes. It launches these slower moving rockets that can easily catch you off guard mid-combo if your not paying enough attention. It also has these sweeping laser beam attacks that will take you down almost instantly if you get hit, and I found it best to run side to side. Of course, take advantage of the essence it drops during the battle, and DO NOT flying swallow at this thing when it's vacuum blades are spinning! Thanks for watching!!!
