From an early age, he was recognized as an emanation of a direct disciple of 莲师. Even before taking monastic vows, he could instantly recognize the ancient and intricate Lantsa script. Throughout his life, he continuously revealed hidden treasures, as though the teachings long concealed within mountains, lakes, and even the expanse of space itself had been waiting for his hands to uncover them. Lerab Lingpa was born in 1856. In his childhood, a lama once visited his home and left behind a remark rich with meaning: This child will one day accomplish inconceivable merit for the benefit of all sentient beings.
