Are you considering becoming a School Administrator in Texas? Before you can, in Texas, you have to have your Masters degree and take two certification exams. One is the 268 Principal as Instructional Leader exam and the other is the 368 PASL, a portfolio. As someone who has passed both the 268 and 368, I offer my advice for those preparing for their 368 PASL portfolio. 11 Tips to Pass Your 368 Performance Assessment for School Leaders (PASL) 1. Take the 268 Principal as Instructional Leader first. 2. Look at the PASL Task Requirements, Rubrics, and Examples early on before you start writing. 3. Write grad school assignments with your PASL problem in mind. 4. Write and store artifacts in Google Drive. Stay organized with folders. 5. Plan a writing schedule into the weekdays and weekends. 6. Make a checklist to track task and writing completion. 7. Use the same problem of practice for all three tasks 8. Start by writing Task 1. 9. Then develop Task 2. 10. Finish with Task 3. 11.
