Bodycam video of a deadly shooting in Lorain was released Thursday, showing the moments US Marshals opened fire on a man who allegedly attacked them with a “wooden table leg.” Lorain police hosted the press conference Thursday afternoon, saying they would not take any questions until a later date when the investigation of the incident is complete. They added that they released the video to "show transparency to the public." The incident happened a week ago on April 18 when the US Marshals were executing a warrant at a house in the 900 block of West 21st Street. 34-year-old Derrick Smith was wanted for allegedly violating federal parole, stemming from a drug trafficking case.
