During the break time between the sessions at „Budo-Sportler mit Herz 7.0“ 2023 I had the opportunity to have a friendly and easy exchange with the boxer Thulasi Tharumalingam. It was an honor for me to go through this experience and I am thankful that he was kind enough not to destroy me hehe. We held the sparring in the boxing context: just a fist fight so no kicks, elbows, clinch or takedowns involved. The idea of those „Panuntukan vs. Boxing“ exchanges is always about how to use FMA movements reduced by those few options. The best way to do so is to step in the area of somebody who is an expert in their art like a boxer in a fist fight. Thulasi Tharumalingam is a Qatari boxer of Sri Lankan Tamil descent.
