1940's Corselette Part 2: Making a working garment.

This week are putting to use the newly completed pattern we drafted in the last video. I was really hoping to stay faithful to the original pattern but unfortunately I ended up needing to make a few alterations...and a few mock-ups before the final garment could be made. Despite the bumps in the road with this pattern I really enjoyed drafting a pattern and then figuring out all the little alterations that were needed in order to really make it fit me. There's something wonderful about a garment that has been made to fit you exactly. While I wasn't brave enough to model this garment extensively at the end of the video I am happy to say it wears well so far. Looking forward to making another corselette...with perhaps a few more alterations.
