Making a Dress for a Tea Party with Hollywood Pattern 1382

In this weeks video we are making a dress with Hollywood Pattern 1382 from 1938. This is one of the patterns I referenced in the last video and was honestly the inspiration for finding a making a slip from the 1930's/1940's. I decided to try and make this in time for a tea party and I am very happy with how it turned out. I did use a period appropriate style fabric and something I found to be true was that it required a lighter stitch than could be provided by a machine. As a result I did hand stitch almost all the seams and hems in the bodice. This was time consuming but worth it for the final product.
