Walk Tall: The Nat Horne Way Written by Benjamin Magnuson Directed and Edited by Benjamin Magnuson and Eric Kilpatrick (Drums: Mike Lunoe) _______________________________________________ This is a small portion of an upcoming feature-length documentary on Mr. Nathaniel Horne. His life, his persistence, his openness, and his many talents have made this world a better place. He is an Army Veteran of the Korean War in the Special Services, was an original member of the Alvin Ailey Dance Company, as well as nearly a dozen Broadway musicals. His thousands (yes, thousands) of students around the world know how lucky they are to have studied under him: how to dance, how to act while dancing, and, most importantly, feel emotion through artistic expression. Nat made his Broadway debut in the 1957 musical Jamaica, starring Lena Horne at the Imperial Theatre. Born in 1929, Nat's life story is full of obstacles as well as one of a kind celebrity anecdotes. Successes and failures. Ups and downs. He's a true legend, and he still practices what he preaches. His winning charm and smile continue to brighten the lives of those he encounters on a daily basis. _____________________________________________ This project is nearly complete, but we're still looking for stories and pictures of Nat from his friends, former students, or anyone whose life he has touched. Please feel free to send a message to us at Clockwork Pictures if there's anything you believe should be included in his story. Copyright, Clockwork Pictures. 2023.
