Machine learning in R with caret. In this video I present my recent work on using machine learning to predict malaria incidence. After the two hour practical session, we had four cases from across the department to show how people are applying machine learning to epidemiology. This was my case study. This workshop will be over a number of videos and will cover a few model types, cross-validation, hyperparameter tuning, overfitting and some other topics. I ran this workshop this year and it was recorded so I thought I might as well cut it up and upload it. The video of me was very small, so it's now very low quality. And the sound is bad as well.
