Guardian of the British coast since 1540 | Calshot Castle & Hythe Tour | Ep1/2

In this video, I head over to one of the many castle built to protect British waters against the French and Holy Roman Empire in the time of Henry VIII. This castle remained in service in one capacity or another till the 1960s, later handed over to the English Heritage. The site is in relatively good condition and the approach to the castle very scenic, with beach huts with tons of activities. Also there's an RLNI station and Coastguard radar and look out station. In the next episode, I do a quick tour of Hythe, sleepy Hampshire town near Fawley.
