Road to the mud , part 1, Colonel K In this video I attempt to build a driving dirt racer in just one week using a 1938 Standard 8 chassis. The goal was simple: fit a Reliant 850 cc engine, make a clutch mechanism, build a propshaft, mount a body and try to get it driving. missing engine parts had other ideas… so although the car comes together, I never quite get to drive it. This is a real back yard garage build challenge – using scrap ,fabricating parts, solving problems and trying to turn an 87-year-old chassis into a dirt track racer.
