On May 5, the Carl Zeiss Foundation 3D User Lab was officially opened with a festive ceremony. During the Ceremony, guests from the Carl Zeiss Foundation and the two foundation companies Carl Zeiss AG and SCHOTT AG as well as the members of the Cluster Industry Advisory Board got an insight into the shared infrastructure and the state of research in the Cluster of Excellence 3D Matter Made to Order (3DMM2O). The Carl Zeiss Foundation 3D User Lab is a dedicated infrastructure to support the research efforts of the Cluster of Excellence 3D Matter Made to Order in the area of 3D Laser Nanoprinting. It allows researchers from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and Heidelberg University to collaborate using state-of-the-art devices with three 3D Lithography systems and a Confocal microscope already installed in the cleanroom. As an ISO 7 cleanroom, the Carl Zeiss Foundation 3D User Lab has several strict requirements for users and an occupancy limit. Thus, the guests could not enter the 3D User Lab itself. To get the most immediate experience possible, a Lab Tour took place via Livestream as part of the official program.
