The fascinating world of carbon science and the plethora of uses it has for future generations is elaborated upon by Mr Dasgupta, who provides an insight on how fast the field of science is progressing, and how we must try our best to keep up. “Curiosity is the fuel for discovery, inquiry, and learning.” Dr. Kinshuk Dasgupta, a curious mind, is well known as the Head of the Advanced Carbon Materials Section at BARC and Associate Professor of India's Homi Bhabha National Institute. With his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology, he has garnered numerous awards throughout the years, including the "Young Engineer Prize," "VASVIK industrial research award" and the "Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize." Dr. Dasgupta has more than 110 publications in peer-reviewed journals. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
