Here is the AQAUPower Skimming Housing Upgrade by Crystal Blue Vortex. It is a new style weir door that uses the Bernoulli principle to increase the pools skimming power. Visually I could tell the difference at some of the test pools that I used. But it is hard to tell with water if it is moving faster. In a lab you can measure the results. I just did visual tests. It cost about 7x more than your standard replacement weir Gate but according to the manufacturer with the AQUAPower installed you can run your pool at least one hour less or more. Even if you don't have a variable speed pump the AQUAPower will save you money on energy cost. The AQUAPower is very easy to install. Even if you have a regular pump it will also increase skimmer power especially if you have some of the suction diverted to an automatic cleaner hooked up to your pool. I like the product also because it eliminates some of the issues you will have with your weir gate. The regular weir gate can actually interfere with the pools flow if the water level gets too low. It can also get stuck in the closed position and I have seen this cause some pumps on my route to run dry and damage the equipment. Plus the after-market weirs wear out pretty quick and the foam top comes lose or the weir detaches from the sides. With the AQUAPower the water level can get low and the skimmer will still function. As you can also see from the video, once the pool turns off the doors close tight keeping the debris in the pool. It is just a very well-engineered product and if you need a new weir gate consider installing an AQUAPower. And last, if someone gave me that Mansion in San Marino I couldn't even afford to live there. Just the Proerty Tax, Insurance, Utilities, Gardner, house cleaner, window washer and pool service would cost more than $15,000 a month. No thank you...
