Follow me on Instagram:   / cutofflsound   For those who are interested: I sampled a couple of different relaxing sounds into the Digitakt and added a long ringing kick drum as well as some percussions. The Minilogue supports the groove with a low pad note from it’s sequencer. The Nord bells are getting their effects (mainly EQ and reverb) from the guitar FX section of the TC Helicon VoiceLive 2, the microphone is plugged into the main vocal fx chain. I'm sending portions of the sound from the board through an AUX channel to the Boss CS-3 Compression Sustainer which smashes the dynamics before feeding a little bit of the signal back into a return channel. This acts as a parallel compression to glue the whole mix together and lets it breathe a bit more. The summed mix gets finally recorded by the Marantz CP430 cassette tape machine. Thanks to its three head mechanism I can track the post-tape signal directly with the computer. As a last step I digitally mastered the recorded track to give it some more polish and clarity.
