Trophic levels Primary producers: These organisms are primarily plants and algae that produce their own food through photosynthesis. Primary Consumers (Herbivores): Organimsms that feed on producers. Secondary Consumers (Carnivores): Organisms that feed on primary consumers. Tertiary Consumers (Top carnivores): Organisms that feed on secondary consumers.
