Hiking Mt Giluwe: Day 2 Adventure🥰❤️ Hello, fellow adventurers! Welcome back to my channel, where today, we're diving into Day 2 of our incredible journey hiking Mt Giluwe. If you haven't watched our Day 1 vlog, make sure to check it out to catch up on our journey so far. We spent our first night at the serene Arumiri, and now, let's dive into the adventures of Day 2! A Magical Morning in Arumiri🥰 I woke up at 4 AM, surrounded by the tranquil sounds of the forest. The peaceful chirping of birds was a gentle reminder of the beauty around us. The sky was still adorned with stars and a fading moon, creating a magical transition into dawn. At 5 AM, we witnessed the most breathtaking sunrise, painting the sky in hues of pink and orange—truly a sight to behold. Breakfast and the Journey Begins❤️ After savoring a hearty breakfast, we set off on our hike, venturing through lush bushland. The trail was lined with majestic trees, each one telling its own story. We trekked until we reached the junction for Tumundul, another path leading to the majestic Mt Giluwe. Exploring Nangupiri Hill⛰️ Our journey continued as we hiked up to Nangupiri Hill, a place where locals often come to harvest wild pandanuts. The aroma of fresh earth and wild vegetation was invigorating. From here, we could catch a glimpse of Mt Giluwe's peak, igniting our eagerness and excitement to reach the summit. Journey to Korandaka and Mapel River🍃🤍 We pressed on towards Korandaka and eventually arrived at the Mapel River, also known further downstream as the Yalo River. Here, we marveled at the Mapel Cave, though it was sadly washed away by the river. The icy, fresh waters of the Mapel River flowed from Mt Giluwe, offering us a refreshing and awe-inspiring experience. We followed the river, enchanted by the beautiful scenery and the magnificent little waterfalls along the way. Even though it was raining, the experience was nothing short of paradise. A Night by the River❤️ Our day's hike concluded at the 2man Cave, which had been damaged by a landslide. We adapted by constructing a temporary shelter for the night. As everyone settled in, the chill in the air kept me awake. Suddenly, I heard someone whisper "cuscus," and to my surprise, the boys caught one! The excitement was palpable, and it became our unexpected hunt of the night. We spent the night near the 2-Man Cave along the banks of the Mapel River, soothed by the harmonious sounds of the flowing river and the whispers of bush animals. It was a calm, quiet, and peaceful end to an exhilarating day. Thank you for joining me on this incredible adventure! Stay tuned for Day 3, where we continue our journey towards the peak of Mt Giluwe.
