The Impress™ Puck System is made up of three key elements: intelligent dosing, assisted tamping and precision measurement. Intelligent dosing is a dosing system that adjusts the dose as required, based on the last grind. Assisted tamping replicates the action of a professional barista, leaving you with a perfectly polished puck surface. Precision measurement auto corrects the next dose, taking away the difficulty of manual tamping and dosing. Follow these easy steps to get you underway with using the Impress™ Puck System. Directions: 1. Place the portafilter securely into the grind cradle, and the dose icon will flash. Select your desired grind size setting, we recommend starting on 15 and adjusting as required. 2. Press the ‘dose’ icon to start grinding. When the grinding has completed, the ‘tamp’ icon will flash, push the tamp lever downwards until you hear a beep. Pushing the lever slowly and consistently will improve the puck appearance, complete another tamp action for an extra polished finish. 3. The green line on your dose icon is the ideal tamp level and the level you’re aiming for. If the dose level is below the ideal amount the dose icon will flash ‘a bit more’. Press the icon to add more grinds to the portafilter, then complete another tamp for a new reading. 4. If the dose level is above the ideal level, remove the portafilter from the cradle and use the razor trimming tool.
