Camino Portugués 2024 | Tui to Santiago de Compostela with Spiritual Variant | 4K Documentary Film

This film is a unique take on the Camino pilgrimage. It's not a guide on how to walk the Camino, but rather a story told through the experiences of four pilgrims. The absence of dialogue allows you to immerse yourself in the journey, with only the beauty of the scenery and the power of the music guiding you through each part of the pilgrimage. The Spiritual Variant is an optional route on the Portuguese Camino pilgrimage. It splits from the main route at Pontevedra, adding 74 km/46 mi of hiking distance on land and water. It merges back to the main route just outside the medieval town of Padrón. It's not a popular route, less crowded with pilgrims, and has more challenging hikes (i.e., long and steep mountain trails!), but it is spectacular and unforgettable! For the ending segment, I chose Canon in D Major by Johann Pachelbel. This piece was a constant companion in my mind as I walked the Camino, and I knew it had to be part of the film. The timeless beauty of this 300-year-old classical piece adds a dramatic and emotional touch to the final scenes at the magnificent Santiago de Compostela Cathedral. Shot on iPhone 14 at 4K 60 fps.
