Prototype home energy/security monitor

A quick overview (raw video) of a new home energy and security monitor prototype I built to replace the older home energy monitors in my home. One will be placed in each room I wish to monitor or have a display in. These single units not only provide a display of data I wish to see in real time, conveniently, but also replace the separate temperature/humidity/light sensors, cameras, and energy monitor displays in each room with one single unobtrusive unit. The unit has full Bluetooth and Wifi, being based internally on a Raspberry Pi ZeroW and runs a linux based OS, so they are very 'hackable'. I designed and 3d printed the case. It's a rough print at the moment. Everything fitted rather well though. The version in the video is equipped so far with a HD camera, PIR sensor, temperature and humidity sensors. An accelerometer (not sure what I'll use that for yet) and a 3.2" colour touchscreen. I currently have the display cycling with HA info such as solar generation, electricity consumption, hot water temps, etc., but also stock prices (got to keep an eye on those spoos), weather info, tweets, etc. Really, it's capable of pulling and displaying any web info you want and it only consumes half a watt or so of power. I'll probably tinker some more, then build a few more for the other rooms in the house.
