Tennessee Adventures: Waterfall Edition - Greeter Falls Hike

Greeter Falls and Inspiration Point in the Savage Gulf State Natural Area is a great day hike you can do with family and friends. It is relatively kid-friendly, however small children (ages 5 and below) may struggle with some of the more challenging stretches of hiking down to the falls. There is plenty of room to sit around the base of the falls, enjoy a picnic, and you can certainly cool off by swimming in the natural pool, but be forewarned, the water is pretty cold! Hiking past the falls to Inspiration Point is a great way to extend your day trip. There are several other beautiful waterfalls along the way and the view at the point is beyond description. Just get out and go see it for yourself. I spent 5 hours on the trail and did not feel rushed at all! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
