New Vlog is live!!! Today we explore Guadeloupe a small group of islands in the Caribbean Sea. Why are special 🏝️🏝️ Vulcanic islands with lush tropical forests. 🌳 Stunning beaches, warm waters, tropical fish and the laid-back atmosphere typical of Caribbean islands complete the scenario. 🐠🐠 🇫🇷Guadeloupe is a French overseas territory, so no passport is required for passengers from UE (be sure you do not stop in a non-UE country for connections tough). 📍 Mini-itinerary Day 1 Grand Terre Day 2 Grand cul de sac marine (mangrove tour) + Parc National de la Guadaloupe (tropical rain forest - La Soufriere volcano) Day 3 Basse Terre – snorkel/dive in Jacques Cousteau marine reserve Day 4 Terre de Haute Day 5 Marie Galante Grand Terre🏝️ – golden sand beaches, sugar cane fields. For beach lovers who can’t miss any: Plage Datcha – Plage de Ste Anne- Plage de la Caravelle – Plage de Petit Havre – Plage de Raisin Clairs – Plage de Gros Sables (South coast ) Anse tarare – Anse de salines – Anse de Chateaux (Eastern peninsula) Plage d’Anse Laborde – Plage de Souffleur (West coast) Less but best: Plage de la Caravelle – Plage de Raisin Clairs- Anse Tarare- Anse de Chateaux – Plage d’Anse Laborde Grand cul de sac marine 🪼– a large shallow marine lagoon located between Basse-Terre and Grande-Terre. Enjoy a half-day boat tour watching mangroves and stopping at small islets for snorkeling and lunch. Tropical rain forest 🌺 – drive Route D23, a scenic drive through the tropical rain forest of Parc National de la Guadaloupe. You can stop for hikes into the forest, enjoying lush vegetation, waterfalls (Cascade aux Ecrevisse and Chute du Carbet) or even climb volcano La Soufriere. Basse Terre 🏝️- black- brown sand beaches For beach lovers who can’t miss any: Plage de Amandieres – Plage de Vigny – Plage de Clugny – Plage de la Perle - Plage de Grande Anse Less but best: Plage de la Perle - Plage de Clugny – Plage de Grande Anse Jacques Cousteau Marine Reserve 🐠- a paradise for divers and snorkelers. Many locals offer tours, you can reserve directly at small offices scattered around Plage de Malendure. Terre de Haute ⛴️– take the ferry from Trois Rivieres (Basse Terre) then rent a bike to explore this magnificent island where cars are very few. No beach on the island will be the same, so don’t miss any! Marie Galante ⛴️– a quiet island, off the beaten track. If you like the typical Caribbean Sea beaches, this is the place for you. Notes for small wave surfers 🏄♂️ Surf spots for experts are popularized on the web and well known by the surfing community, so I would rather help small wave warriors find their place to practice! I surfed these spots, in order of preference: Plage de Gros Sable🏄♀️🏄♀️ – naturalistic location, pebble (levigated corals) beach Plage de Souffleur 🏄♀️🏄♀️– blue waters, reef break
