A quick refreshment back at the hotel, then I'm back into the Kathmandu traffic on the way to explore Pashipatunath, Nepal's most important Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva. Located on the holy Bagmati River, it is also the site of local funerals and open cremations in the Hindu tradition. There are many pilgrims, religious shrines, and souvenir stalls - where I succumb at the first one I see! I also receive a special tikka from a lovely lady, get lost again, and soak up the atmosphere in this very special place.
