Good morning, friends and families! Thank you for joining us! We hope you are doing well on this warmer, but icy Tuesday morning. Our thoughts this morning are with a few of our viewers, in particular Joe & Beth, who are both going through some very difficult times with their dogs. Anyway, several of our moms are approaching their next heat cycles or are currently in heat. Missy and Myra are both in heat. Missy is on break this cycle but Myra (tricolor) will be mated with Macchiato, our black & tan stud dog. With Missy being alpha female, a lot of drama and chaos ensues. In the wild, only the alpha female mates and has puppies - so having our alpha female on break and a less dominant female being bred can stir up some drama! The dogs tend to be a little on edge and chaotic when we have several females in heat and on break. Our boys get ants in their pants, but we are hoping that after Myra mates with Macchiato things will calm down a bit. When a male mates with one of the females, the other males tend to back off, knowing that she will only mate again with the same dad. Introducing the stars of the show: Missy - our only Ruby & Alpha female Robin - our blenheim with more white than chestnut Daisy Doodle - our smaller tricolor with long ears and lots of freckles *Elisabeth's ESA Myra - Our second, bigger tricolor with a darker face than Daisy Paris - our fluffiest blenheim with lots of Cavalier fur *Mae's ESA Pom Pom - sister to Paris, one of our two smallest blenheims (Vienna being the other) Remy - our biggest blenheim mama, with very dark chestnut *Bradley's ESA Vienna - our smallest blenheim, with freckles on her nose *Bella's ESA Mocha - our only black & tan female/ Pom & Macchiato's daughter (about 6 months) *Drew's ESA Looking forward to seeing all of you soon! With warm hugs and cavalier kisses, Elisabeth & Drew To become a member of our channel for access to our Members' Forums and other RBC perks, click here: / @redbarncavaliers . We invite the families and friends of our puppies 'into' our home to watch their puppy thrive and grow. You are viewing some of our current Cavalier puppies. We perform all of their care on the livestream for families to see and be part of, including vaccinations, weight checks, dewormings, socialization, and so more. We raise Cavalier King Charles Spaniels with an emphasis on their emotional-social development. We have raised many puppies for the distinct purpose for becoming Emotional Support Animals. This breed of dog has a temperament that is ripe for therapeutic bonding. We nurture those characteristics to help bring them out and optimize them further. We potty train our puppies using pine pellets designed for rehydration. The timing is important because as they get older, they crawl away from their nest to potty and poop - so we want them to go to the pellets! Our puppies typically understand where to go potty within about a week of practice, and they use the potty tray on their own.. By about 6-7 weeks old, they begin waking during the night to use the potty tray. Our young puppies are kept in our master bedroom for 24-hour observation and care. We leave the audio on so that viewers are able to hear the puppies' vocalizations, but that means you may overhear some personal interactions. We prefer this format because we are able to easily provide context or clarity to viewers if necessary. We show you how we potty train our puppies beginning around 7 days old, plus how we nurture their development throughout their 8 weeks with us to hand off a well-trained puppy to their family.
