Doubling down on data: how councils can use the visual condition surveys of their highway network to generate targeted road safety improvement investment plans This is the recording of a TRL/GAIST webinar delivered via LCRIG on 28th October 2022. Aimed at highways managers, its a short presentation which explains a new joint service from TRL and GAIST: how using video footage collected for pavement condition assessment can save money on delivering road safety objectives. TRL demonstrates the iRAP Star Rating model (as used by National Highways) using GAIST high quality images of the highway to proactively identify cost effective packages of infrastructure improvements (SRIPS).
