The Power of Emerging Communities | Ty Mulholland | TEDxRichland

The habitation needs and desires are beginning to shift. Communities that are catering to the new "normal" of what these needs and desires are, are emerging as strong contenders for the new way of living. What do these communities have in common that make them so appealing? I am an advocate focused on how to blend community and economy in a way that builds sustainable ecosystems for small to medium urban environments. I have lived in Tri-Cities for 8 years and in that time have been part of many of the community changing efforts including: Startup Weekend, Launch University, TriCities Collaborative, Fuse, TriConf and more. I have spent much of my energy trying to connect passionate people with a greater purpose of bettering their community. I currently am CEO of Wildland, a software development firm who invests in and helps technology startups grow in small cities.
