Zebra finch small aviary chapter 3 part 4. This is a simple mini aviary with about 25 zebra finches in it. Male and female zebra finches, they have been here for probably almost four months. We tried to make a comfortable mini cage for these zebra finches, and it seems they like it and are comfortable here. This is just my guess. I think if these zebra finches can lay eggs and hatch them then they are comfortable, I think if these zebra finches can raise their chicks and move nimbly from one corner to another then they are comfortable. That's just my guess. I don't know if there are other variables used to measure the comfort level or happiness level of zebra finches in other countries. What is clear for these zebra finches, provide enough space and good air circulation. Closed spaces will be stuffy because of the smell of feces and leftover food from zebra finches. Moreover, zebra finches like to play in water, so leftover food mixed with feces and mixed with water can create a fairly pungent smell.
