Inspiring Students in Brazil! | 2 School Presentations in Pirai, Brazil & Translating My Jaguar Book

Jason George’s Wild Brazil Adventures – Exploring the Pantanal’s most iconic wildlife. 🐆🌎 During my 2025 Brazil adventure, I had the incredible opportunity to give two wildlife presentations at a local school in Pirai, Brazil, thanks to the amazing help of Mary Pessoal from @Experienciar Viagens. 🙌 This wasn’t something the community had ever done before — but Mary worked tirelessly with the local tourism, education, and transportation departments to make it happen, even organizing free transportation for me and my parents to the Escola de Lajes, located three hours from Rio in the lush jungle hills. At the school, I was welcomed with open arms by students, teachers, and principals Bruno and Luiz. I gave two presentations to grades 7–9, sharing my wildlife photography and stories from around the world. Even though I speak only English, the students — who are learning English — helped make it a fun and interactive experience. Special thanks to Patricia Messias, who translated key parts to help everyone connect and understand! As a gift, I gave each student a signed photo, and together we came up with an exciting idea — for the school to help translate my Jaguar Book into Portuguese!
