My First Month of London Marathon Training! Training for the London Marathon is officially underway! In this video, I’m taking you through my first four weeks of prep, covering everything from the highs and lows of a BRUTAL January running, to the gear getting me through the miles. Whether you are a seasoned marathon runner, a Parkrun regular, or just starting your own running journey, I hope this gives you some insight (and motivation) for your own training. 🎗️ Running for a Cause I am incredibly proud to be fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer Action. This cause is close to my heart and is the "why" behind every mile I run towards the London Marathon. If you’d like to support the journey, you can find my link below: https://2026tcslondonmarathon.enthuse... 👟 The Shoe Rotation A huge part of this month has been testing out my running shoe rotation to see what works for the long haul. I break down my thoughts on: Nike Ultrafly: Testing the carbon plate on the trails. Nike Zoom Fly 6: One of my go-to for tempo sessions. Nike Structure Plus: A swing and a miss from Nike Asics Superblast: Fast and fun for intervals, tempo and more Puma ForeverRun Nitro 2: How I turned my least favourite shoe of 2025 into a 2026 winner. 🌲 Training Highlights & Challenges January in the UK wasn't kind! I talk about battling the winter weather and two standout sessions: The Struggle: A tough icy, cold and wet long run at Sherwood Pines, Nottinghamshire. The Win: A fantastic trail long run through a soggy Clumber Park near Mansfield. Parkrun: How I’m using my local 5k as a speed session and also for long runs within my marathon training plan.
