Holiday Recital - Dan's Music School

Twice a year, Dan’s Music School in Portland, Oregon hosts a student recital at the Multnomah Arts Center, bringing together young musicians, their families, and friends to celebrate a semester of learning and growth. This video features performances from over 20 students at the school’s 2025 Holiday Recital—the sixth recital since the school was founded four years ago. Students perform solo piano, guitar and ukulele pieces spanning more than 300 years of musical history, from classical works to contemporary selections, with classic holiday tunes woven throughout the program. A few students are appearing in their very first recital, while others have taken the stage at every recital since the school began—an especially meaningful milestone in a young musician’s journey. Dan’s Music School offers piano and guitar instruction in the Portland area, emphasizing both classical foundations and contemporary music. Dan, the school’s founder, sole proprietor, and lead teacher, works one-on-one with students by traveling to their homes for instruction, creating a personalized and supportive learning experience. Recorded at the Multnomah Arts Center and attended by students’ families and friends, this one-hour recital marks the end of the semester and highlights the dedication, courage, and progress of each performer.
