When I was in college, one of my professors asked a question on our final exam: Is the United States a racist country? At the time, my answer was no. Years later, I started noticing patterns in neighborhoods, schools, wealth, and opportunity that made me rethink that answer. In this video, we break down the difference between systemic racism and systematic racism, and why understanding that difference changes how I think about racism in America.
