Jump technique on trampoline - 7 EVOLVE Minute In this video I explain why basic jump technique is the epicentre of all air rotations and how, if neglected, it directly affects the safety and quality of somersaults. In the early stages of trampoline learning, it’s very common to underestimate the importance of perfecting the “simple” jump technique.In this video I explain why jumps are the true epicentre of all air rotations, and how posture, muscle tension, coordination of arms and legs, eye focus and jump height directly influence: correct execution of skills, gymnast safety, and movement aesthetics. I also highlight frequent technical mistakes (loose body, bent or separated legs, looking down, poor arm action, low jumps, etc.) and why we should never allow the feet to “lead” the backward somersault. The goal is to encourage coaches and gymnasts to give trampoline jumps the place they truly deserve in the learning process.
