SVR 2025 Winter Steam Gala - 4th January

The second Winter Gala at the Severn Valley Railway was another fun event, although this time there weren't any trains stopping at Eardington. The main draw this time was the return to traffic of GWr 14xx Class 0-4-2T 'Autotank' no. 1450, a loco which I've been familiar with since I was little having seen it pass by a family freind's house on many occasions on the Dean Forest Railway. The loco has been based at the SVR since 2014 I believe, but this was my first time seeing her in action on the line. Double heading with Pannier tank no. 7714 was a nice highlight, truly the Great Western Way!
