In this message, we look at a very important reminder of the power of the cross and the gospel of Jesus Christ! Paul reminds the Corinthian church that their party spirit and lives of vanity and wisdom are clearly found in their misunderstanding of the power of the cross. The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to those who are being saved it is the power of God. The cross is transformative and it is there where atonement and propitiation was meted out and where sin was dealt with fully and finally. The cross does not operate according to the wisdom of the world and the cross is that which brings salvation to man. It is God's means of salvation that shows that people can get saved when Christ is preached and when He becomes the power and the wisdom of God.
