Fenterlarick is an English Country Dance written by Joyce Walker in 1977. It is a proper duple minor dance. According to Bare Necessities, Fenterlarick was the name of a Cornish hamlet; "fenter" meaning "clearing" and "larick" meaning "well". The tune, called "Nancy's Delight" was composed by Fred Grimshaw. It was performed by Bare Necessities (Earl Gaddis, Mary Lea, Peter Barnes, and Jacqueline Schwab) on the album "Modern Treasures". It is used with permission of Country Dance Society, Boston Centre, Inc. https://www.cds-boston.org/ecdc/ The animation plays at 106 counts per bar normally, but the first time through the set the dance is slowed down so people can learn the figures more readily. Men are drawn as rectangles, women as ellipses. Each couple is drawn in its own color, however the border of each dancer indicates what role they currently play so the border color will change each time through the minor set.
