Ballater & District Pipe Band playing a march, strathspey and reel set during Beating Retreat after Ballater Highland Games on Thursday 10th August 2023. The band are led here by Drum Majors Ian Esson and Fiona Glennie, together with Pipe Major James Cooper, and were playing the 79th’s Farewell to Gibraltar, Captain Horne and High Road to Linton. Beating of the Retreat on Ballater Green concludes Ballater Highland Games day. Bands march back into Ballater after the Games and crowds gather on the green for the display by Ballater & District Pipe Band.
