This video presents two mechanisms of elastic return force limiters with different designs for the supporting components and their force capabilities. The limiter will be unlocked once the load exceeds the force threshold it can hold. When the overload is removed, the limiter always return to its reference position (locked pose). Therefore, if a collision is detected in the physical human-robot interaction (p-HRI), the robot with this return clutch can move around humans (or other blocks) in the safety standard and then keep working.
