HR policies and strategies are generally used to inform and manage the behavior of employees in a fair and equitable way. An effective HR policy will ensure that all employees have an understanding of their rights and obligations as part of the organization. An effective HR policy and strategy should also strive to link people to the organization's mission and values while helping to retain, develop and motivate employees to achieve the best results possible. It should foster a cooperative and collaborative workplace environment and help to ensure that staff member’s needs and interests are taken into account.
