If you would like to be on the grid at SRi, why not head to our official Discord? / discord Today marks the fourth round of the UKSimRacing (UKSR) GT3 League Season 17 as hosted on iRacing and brought to you by SimRacing International (SRi). We shall be bringing you all of the racing action which occurred on Sunday 1st February as if it were live! In this round our drivers return to the US state of Florida for the Miami International Autodrome’s (MIA’s) Grand Prix course. Situated in the grounds of the Hard Rock Stadium of Miami Gardens, this 3.36 mile course may have only opened in 2022 with a focus on Formula One, but in the last three years it has seen its use cases rapidly expand. With its 19 corners grouped together in fast-flowing clusters as connected by extended straights, overtaking shall prove challenging with the slipstream draft of the lead car acting as both friend and foe! In the ELITE class, whilst he may have fallen just short of the win last round which went to Hayden Miller, another second place for Henrik Riise Strand has seen him take the lead by 38 points over both William Arnesen and Rhys Saunders. Can Strand secure his first win today? In the PRO class, it was mixed fortunes for many in Portugal, but despite a bumpy start Kyle Roy took his second win and now has a 56 point lead over Ross Young. However, watch out for Mathew Croft who will be keen to bounce back; and the quick-looking Maxime Phillippin! In the INTER class, a tough round for the Axis Simports pair of Andrei Muntean and Craig Hewlett has seen them retain their top spots, but with a significantly reduced margin to both Robin Paunia and Martin Kenyon. The class is heating up, but who shall cook up a storm today? How will our drivers fare as the MIA makes its debut? Tune in and find out!
