This is a revived rendition of a classical Sufi kalam “Jise Deed Teri Naseeb Ho” written by Wajid Ali (Takhallus Ashq), taken from older Urdu diwans and traditional sources. While this kalam was previously rendered in traditional styles, it is now rarely heard by the younger generation. This version presents the same original text with a new calm vocal expression and a fresh musical composition, created by SUFIYANA KALAMS to help today’s listeners reconnect with the depth of classical Sufi poetry. The intention is not to replace earlier renditions, but to revive forgotten words and allow their ruh to reach contemporary hearts. This classical Sufi Kalam is a timeless expression of deed-e-yaar, longing, and divine beauty. This kalam has been re-awakened with a new vocal approach and a calm, meditative composition, while preserving its original spiritual essence and poetic depth. The effort is not to alter the kalam, but to let its Ruh breathe again for today’s listener. For the one blessed with that sacred vision, every night becomes Shab-e-Baraat, and every day turns into Eid. Listen in silence. Let the words settle. Let the heart recognise what the ears cannot. 🎧 Headphones recommended for full immersion. ------------------------------------ English translation of the Kalam: Whoever is blessed with Your vision, their destiny itself becomes worth beholding. For them, the night turns into Shab-e-Baraat, and every day feels like Eid. What comparison can beauty truly make between You and Yusuf of Egypt? For this is the difference that matters: that was only hearing — this is seeing. When Your letter reached them through a messenger, they killed him, saying, “Let the messenger not return to you.” That alone became the proof of Your message being received. For them, against enemies, what use is a friend? Whoever is near, remains near; whoever is distant, stays distant. Look at their playful grace — they summon me into a gathering of strangers, then gaze at me deeply; even this manner of theirs is worth beholding. They did not value me while I lived — what would dust matter after that? Yet they will recite Fatiha at my grave; this hope, at least, remains. At the moment of death, wherever You move, the wounded heart follows You with its eyes; such is the overflowing longing for a single glimpse of Your vision. When I meet You on the Day of Judgment, You will say, “O Wajid, faithful one, to complain of us here would be far from your nature.” ------------------------------------ 📜 Credits Kalam: Jise Deed Teri Naseeb Ho Poet : Wajid Ali Takhallus: Ashq Rampuri Source: Classical Urdu Sufi poetry (traditional transmission) Revived Rendition, Vocals & Composition: SUFIYANA KALAMS ------------------------------------ 🕯️ About Sufiyana Kalams: Sufiyana Kalams is a devotional space dedicated to reviving timeless Sufi poetry through original compositions, minimal visuals, and deep spiritual adab.
