Trump abandons Ukraine to focus efforts on countering China! Preventing the PLA from using force against Taiwan is the top priority! We see that the strategic game between China and the United States is deepening. Today, we’re discussing major shifts in the new U.S. administration’s China policy. But this shift is by no means one-sided. It’s happening on both sides. China is changing, and so is the United States. That’s why tomorrow, I’d like to talk with you about China’s political and military changes. In a livestream a few days ago, I mentioned that the sensitive information I now have access to seems to exceed what I had during my time in government. That wasn’t an exaggeration. It’s largely thanks to the absolute trust some old friends still place in Lao Du. I certainly can’t betray that trust. The mission is honorable, and the responsibility is weighty. To be frank, through various channels I’ve indeed obtained classified documents, including from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Central Military Commission. These documents contain extensive content related to the direction, strategy, and measures of China-U.S. policy. Initially, for safety reasons, I didn’t intend to reveal their existence. But the matter is simply too significant. A deep understanding of the CCP’s behavioral logic is crucial for the international community. For now, I can’t publish photos of these documents, nor can I release the full texts, document numbers, or dates. But I can, based on these documents, speak broadly about the CCP’s major strategies regarding current China-U.S. relations and China’s political and military relations with Western countries. This is critical information that concerns the future international landscape and even global security. What I’m saying is by no means baseless speculation. Everything comes from very high-level classified internal CCP documents. On the U.S. side, it’s the New York Times that revealed classified Pentagon documents. Tomorrow, Lao Du will be China’s version of the “New York Times.” Today, let’s focus on the United States. While the world is focused on the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the Western camp is divided, and European nations are putting all their effort into dealing with Russia, the PLA’s threat of armed aggression against Taiwan has remained dangerously high — nearly at a flashpoint. Frankly, everyone knows this is indeed a good opportunity. The U.S. side is extremely tense. We see that U.S. Secretary of Defense Hegseth is visiting Japan. He has repeatedly issued tough statements, even declaring at one point that the U.S. is ready for war with the CCP. All of his statements are intended to create strong deterrence against the CCP — to force the CCP to refrain from reckless moves. According to The Washington Post, a recent internal classified directive memo signed by Secretary Hegseth shows that the United States regards China as the so-called “only pacing threat” (meaning a threat that must be kept pace with and actively countered), and is making preventing mainland China from “seizing” Taiwan and strengthening U.S. homeland defense its top priorities. To that end, it is willing to reduce its military presence in Europe, the Middle East, and other regions, and to accept the “risks” that come with it, while asking allies to take on more defense responsibilities — with the Russian threat to be mainly handled by Europe. Does this mean the China-U.S. confrontation is rapidly escalating? The Trump administration has publicly announced its abandonment of Ukraine in order to concentrate its efforts on countering China! Preventing the PLA from using force against Taiwan is the top priority! Does this indicate a clearer U.S. military commitment to defend Taiwan? That is the issue we are focusing on today.
