Crossbones Graveyard in Southwark London SE1. Burial place of Winchester Geese = Paupers & those on the forgotten reaches of past London. Graveyard scene = filmed on Wednesday 21st June 2023 = History researched & editing all put together, on Friday 7th July 2023. Join me in this video = as we first "discuss & look at the history & origins of Crossbones." Its dark past + we actually get to "examine the life - death & burial, of 2 real historical Londoners" = one of them (Mary Ann Buckland) an 8 month old little girl "who sadly, as all too often happened in London back then = didn't make it out of infancy." & our second subject (ElizabethMitchell) "A Victorian era Winchester Goose (prostitute)" = who's occupation, sadly landed her up in this graveyard, at a young age! In her case "we actually get to see a facial reconstruction, of what Elizabeth may have looked like." & in both cases = we get to see the entries for them, from the parish registers. Then, after we've discussed the history + looked at the life's - death's - & burials, of our 2 historical Londoners = Join me for a full tour of the graveyard itself!! As we wander around & reflect + catch some of the history, & slightly naughty or macabre poetry "dotted all around this = dark but fascinating historical London location." Hope you all enjoyed / found it informative!! A bit bleak "I know" = BUT, its important to remember the past & try to ensure that "those poor past Londoners, are remembered = & not brushed under the carpet, like a shameful or distasteful secret." R.I.P = TO ALL THE SOULS OF CROSSBONES 🕊
